About TOP employer
“TOP employer” is the most influential, widest and most popular annual top and rating database of the best and most attractive employers in Latvia, which is based on the evaluations of employees (job seekers, current and former employees). The best employers are identified in 13 different categories – both among companies that come to the minds of employees first (the main category) and among companies offered for voting in several business sectors and regions of Latvia, selected according to a certain methodology. Voting for employers takes place in an online survey, which is held at the beginning of the year and usually attracts a significant number of respondents (18 110 respondents on the last survey).
The TOP3 employers in each category receive a special “TOP employer” digital stamp that the company can use for employee recruitment activities, such as the career section of its company’s website, published job postings, events, the workplace and elsewhere. In addition, the other employers that are ranked on TOP50 list of the main category (Top-of-mind) also get a digital stamp, which confirms being among the best employers in Latvia.

In Latvia, the “TOP employer” survey has been conducted for the fourteenth year by the leading recruitment services provider “Alma Career Latvia” (formerly “CV-Online Latvia”). Its main goal is to help employers understand their position in the labor market from the perspective of employees and jobseekers, while also supporting their growth as attractive workplaces. For employees, it offers a chance to actively shape the labor market by evaluating companies and becoming ambassadors for their current or former employers. Over the years, “TOP employer” has become a trusted resource for jobseekers and a valuable guide in career decision-making. Starting from 2025, the survey is carried out across all Baltic countries using a unified methodology.
